Getting started

VNX-DNA turns files into DNA sequences and back. The round trip in five commands:

vnx archive ./dataset archive.vnx
vnx encode archive.vnx strands.fasta
vnx channel simulate strands.fasta reads.fastq --model illumina-like --coverage 10 --seed 7
vnx decode reads.fastq -o recovered.vnx --extract ./restored
vnx verify recovered.vnx

The third command is a simulation: it produces software reads, not sequencing data. Decoding reports SUCCESS only after SHA-256 and Merkle verification; otherwise PARTIAL (verified files only) or FAILURE, and it writes no unverified bytes.
